Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the iOS application Sèned ("the App") published by Rosslyn Corp ("the Operator", "we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Sèned is a document-scanner and archive application. It lets you capture images of business documents, organize them by workspace and category, and optionally sync them to your own Google Drive account. The App runs entirely on your device and on Google's infrastructure; the Operator does not run a backend server.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and able to enter into a binding contract to use the App.

3. Your Google Account

Connecting Google Drive is optional. If you choose to connect, you authorize the App, via Google OAuth, to create and manage files that the App itself creates in your Drive (the drive.file scope). You can revoke this at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions .

4. Your Content

You retain all rights to the documents and information you capture with the App ("Your Content"). The Operator claims no ownership over Your Content. You are solely responsible for:

• The legality of the content you capture (including any personal data of third parties).
• Obtaining any necessary consents to capture and store the content.
• Maintaining your own backups. While the App provides Google Drive sync, the Operator does not guarantee preservation of Your Content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Capture or store content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
• Capture or store content depicting the sexual abuse of minors.
• Violate the rights of any person, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
• Interfere with or attempt to compromise the App, its third-party services, or any other user.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code, except to the extent applicable law permits this notwithstanding this restriction.

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Google Drive. Your use of Google Drive is governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The Operator is not responsible for the availability, terms, or data practices of third-party services.

7. Fees

The App is currently provided free of charge. The Operator reserves the right to introduce paid features in the future, which will be clearly identified before purchase.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE OPERATOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT YOUR CONTENT WILL NOT BE LOST.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED US $50.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and revoking Drive access. The Operator may suspend or terminate access for users who materially violate these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted at https://sened.rosslyncorp.com/terms.html with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of {{JURISDICTION}}, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in {{JURISDICTION}} for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms.
